It is not difficult to apply on yourself some home made procedures which really help you reduce the effect of the disease. The best way to cool down the intensity is by moisturizing the area. This would help in reducing the dryness. After moisturizing it we should stay away from tough chemicals used in our daily life, so that it does not effect and aggravate the problem. It is easy to decide to stay away from chemicals but practically it is very difficult. In our daily life we interact with a number of products. These products contain chemicals which can be harmful for the moisturizers used on the effected area. These products include bath soaps, detergents, bleaches, perfumes, laundry soaps etc. We all use these things daily, but if you are an eczema patient then you have to leave all of it. You have to be very careful and gentle with your skin and especially with the effected area. You must keep in mind that if you do not pay proper attention to these precautions then it can become very unpleasant for you and may trigger the problem.
You should apply ointments or creams on the dry patch. Lotions can also be used for the purpose. Also avoid scratching or rubbing the affected portion of the skin. If you do this then you may complicate the problem even more. You can also mix oatmeal to the lotions or ointments that you use on the rashes. This would further enhance the capability of the lotion to reduce the dryness. You can also have a bath with oatmeal twice a week and it would reduce the itching considerably. The grains of oatmeal are very helpful in moisturizing the effected layer of skin. Many people also use certain other materials to reduce the effect of eczema. It includes paste of nutmeg. Then a paste of sandalwood and camphor is also very famous for treating eczema. You can also go for drinks, like tomato juice, which provide you with zinc supplements. Zinc keeps the skin healthy.
You can use any of these home made techniques to get relief. It is always advised that you consult a doctor before using any such remedy. |
