Symptoms of eczema
The thing, which is the main causes of eczema, is not known to anyone for sure. Some people think it is because of the genetic problems like its disposition. There are some other factors too that causes eczema, but there is no authentication or evidence which can prove it. Whatever are the causes of eczema it is for sure that it leads to a red itchy skin that may be dry. You might have blisters on the surface of your skin that can become crusty and can create wounds.
Eczema has many types but the most commonly known form of eczema is atopic eczema. It causes itching of the skin like all other types of eczema. Itching symptom is very dangerous because once a person starts itching then the disease becomes worse. One of the major problems of this diseases or infection that is it makes your body very sensitive to any substance with which you come into contact. Many of the people around the world might be irritated by soaps or detergents but actually they help you a lot from such infections. In children too, you can find such infections in greater number as compared to the adults.
The trademark of eczema is itching. If a person starts scratching his or her skin, then the person shows symptoms of eczema. Some kind of rashes also occur on your body if someone is suffering from eczema. If the rash on one's body is not itching then it is for sure that the person is not suffering from eczema. For example if the itching problem is improved by some kind of treatment you have under gone, then even if the rash is present but without the problem of itching, it is not eczema. So a rash without itching cannot be considered as eczema.
On of the other symptoms that are attached to eczema is redness of the skin. It happens because of the increase in the flow of blood inside your body that makes the area of the skin that is infected to appear in dark red color. The process of inflammation of the skin in eczema is very complex. It can be triggered because of the many factors involved in it. If your skin is infected by bacteria, even then your skin can be infected by eczema.
Blisters can be one of the main symptoms of eczema. Small amount of blisters can be seen on the skin, which is infected with eczema. Blisters in this case are of small size. There are some exceptional cases as well in which size of the blisters are increased on the area of infection. The size of blisters on your skin depends upon the type of skin you have or either upon the type of eczema you are suffering from. Blisters related to eczema are filled with some kind of fluid. There are some blisters, which are filled with pus, but it depends upon the nature and intensity of infection that you have. |
